1. Activation Using a Windows 10 Product Key
The simplest and most legal way to get rid of the message is by activating the system using a product key. If you have a genuine copy of Windows, the activation key can usually be found on the box with the OS, in the documentation, or in the confirmation email if you purchased the license online.
Steps to activate with a product key:
- Open Windows Settings:
- Press Start, then select Settings (gear icon), or press Win + I.
- Go to the Update & Security section.
- Select the Activation tab.
- Click Change product key and enter your license key.
- Confirm the action, and the system will complete the activation process.
If the key is entered correctly, the message will disappear, and your system will be considered activated.
2. Purchasing a License from Our Store
If you don't have a product key, you can purchase one from our store. This method is convenient as activation will happen automatically after the purchase.
How to purchase a license:
- Go to Settings → Update & Security → Activation.
- In the "Go to Store" section, there will be a button to buy a license. Click on it.
- In the Microsoft Store, choose the desired version of Windows (e.g., Windows 10 Home or Windows 10 Pro), pay for it, and the system will automatically activate.
After that, the activation message will be removed.
3. Using Command Prompt to Temporarily Hide the Message
If you can't activate Windows at the moment but want to temporarily remove the notification, you can try using Command Prompt. This method will not activate the system permanently but allows you to hide the message for a short time.
Steps:
- Press Start, type "Command Prompt", right-click it, and select Run as administrator.
- Enter the following command:
- slmgr /renew
- This will renew the activation if it can be extended. Then enter the following command:
- slmgr /rearm
- This command resets the activation counter and extends system usage for 30 days. Note that this method can only be used a limited number of times and is not a permanent solution.
4. Using Group Policy or Registry Editor (Temporary Removal)
This method can also temporarily hide the message but is not a solution for activation. If you are confident in your abilities and want to hide the notification without activation, you can use the Group Policy Editor or modify the registry settings.
Through Registry Editor:
- Press Win + R, type regedit, and press Enter.
- Navigate to the following path:
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
- Right-click in the right window and choose Create → DWORD (32-bit) Value, name it NoAutoRebootWithLoggedOnUsers, and set its value to 1.
This may hide the message, but it could reappear after rebooting or updates.
5. Using Third-Party Software to Bypass Activation (Not Recommended)
There are various programs available that offer to bypass Windows activation, but this method is illegal and can harm your computer. Activation bypass programs often include malware and can disrupt the operation of the operating system. Additionally, using unlicensed software violates Microsoft's license agreement and can lead to penalties or blocking.
What Happens if You Don't Activate Windows?
If you don't activate Windows, your operating system will continue to work but with limitations:
- You won't be able to change the wallpaper, theme, and other personalization settings.
- From time to time, pop-up notifications will ask you to activate Windows.
- Some features, like synchronization with a Microsoft account and updates, may be restricted.
Although the system will remain functional, using an unactivated Windows creates discomfort and may eventually lead to the full blocking of some features.
