Office 2024 includes popular applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Outlook, available for both Windows and Mac. This new version features the updated Fluent design, which aligns seamlessly with the visual style of Windows 11.
Excel introduces a new Image function, allowing users to download images directly from the internet. Additionally, it now supports links to dynamic arrays, making it easier to work with automatically updating data in charts. PowerPoint has also received several useful updates: users can now integrate live camera feeds into slides, record voiceovers, and use new transitions, animations, and handwritten input. Subtitles can be added to audio and video files, making presentations more accessible.
Outlook in the 2024 version offers an improved search function for emails, contacts, attachments, and calendar entries, along with new tools for organizing online meetings. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint now support inserting images directly from Android smartphones. The package also fully supports the OpenDocument file format. Another useful feature in Word is session recovery: if the computer shuts down unexpectedly, all open documents will be restored upon restarting.
Notably, Office 2024 does not include AI-based functions. The product supports both 32- and 64-bit versions of Windows 11, Windows 10, and macOS. For the first five years after its release, Office 2024 will receive updates, after which only security updates will be available.
